Note From Tonya

"If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for others." ~ Dalai Lama

I have immense pride. Pride that I belong to a community of generous and loving beings that work together for the greater good. (Not to mention that I love how we adorn others and make people feel empowered and beautiful.)

Once again our community of jewelry artists shined as we reached out to help out our friends in Japan. Nearly $5,000 was given by our community to Shelterbox via the spearheaded efforts of Art Clay World (thank you ACW). Those 89 donations will purchase 5 of these boxes to be sent to Japan to help many others.

I know there are more people that want to help from our community. It's not too late!

It gets better.....I love it when corporations offer to match funds. So why not make our dollar go farther and take advantage of their generosity.

On my Facebook page (you can friend me below) last week I posted that LivingSocial and Istockphoto.com both were matching donations for relief in Japan. In fact, LivingSocial raised and donated $2,301,130. Wow, the power of partnership!

Even though that drive is over for ShelterBox and LivingSocial, you can still give to Istockphoto.com and they will match your funds! $5 gets $10, $10 gets $20 etc. The donation will go to the following Japan Relief Fund Charities: MercyCorps, Save the Children, Doctor's Without Borders.

Here's to world peace and making someone's day just a little bit brighter!

Creative Blessings,
