Don't you love January! The hustle and bustle is over for the holidays, it's less hectic, and dare I say it, quiet! There is a new fresh canvas on which to create new possibilities.
I hope that you had a fantastic closure to 2011 and a magnificent beginning to 2012! I had a wonderful year but I'm almost giddy about what's in store this year. It is a year that has great possibilities.
For most it's time to start anew with an exercise plan, cleaner eating, a new fiscal budget, and new goals. I also know many of you are busy sweeping out the old by cleaning, purging, and organizing.
In December of 2010, I realized that new year resolutions were pointless and silly. I also couldn't stick to a Word of the Year, because my life goes in many directions, not just North. I also realized that I didn't want to let bad habits and poor choices dictate my entire year. So I created a tool called the Artist Compass Exercise, or A.C.E.
The A.C.E. tool is F.R.E.E. and in 5 easy steps and about 30 minutes of time allows me to evaluate where I'm at now and compare that to where I want to be. It is an alignment tool. Best of all, it gives you 4 Compass Words to help guide you.
I try and do this every quarter of the year. There is a reason businesses evaluate their value and see if they are on course once a quarter. If they waited until the end of the year, it could be detrimental to their business.
By taking stock in your life, often, you can readjust your direction and stay on track with your purpose. The Compass Words that result from completing the A.C.E. will help guide you as you stay the course intended for that quarter of the year. At which time you can change course, course correct or stay the course!
To give you an incentive to take my gift and invest your time in it, I'm offering you also a chance to win a custom made pendant with your Compass Words, dvds, tools, beading components and more. Crazy right! A gift and more gifts!
All you have to do is post your Compass Words (click here to post your words) after completing the exercise. The more people that participate, the more chances you have of winning!
So please share it with your community, groups, forums, friends, and family. You don't have to be an artist to take the A.C.E. Anyone who wants to ACE their year can get aligned today!
Don't Miss Out
As you know January and February are great months to pick up a deal. In the nearly 10 years we've been in business, we've never had a clearance sale like we are having in 2012.
We are whittling down our inventory so that we can make room for the new cutting edge tools that manufacturers release at the beginning of the year at shows like CHA and Tucson Gem Show.
So get them while they last! These are not seconds and there are no damages. Many of them are discontinued items by mfgs so you can't get them anymore either! Good finds at unbeatable prices...often for less than we paid for them!
I'm trying to add new items every day so you'll want to check back often to see what's been added, at least once a week. Plus if you are coming to Tucson for the Gem Show, find out when our 1 day sale is going to be!
Fulfillment tip: when placing your order, select "out of stock notification" if you want to be notified whether the items were still in stock by the time your order was filled. Otherwise we might ship you less items than you expected depending on availability.
Please pass this information along to your forums, groups, communities, friends and family!

The Muse Personality: Hadar Jacobsen
Date started working in metal clay:
Certified: (what clay, year and with whom)
Accomplished at what media in addition to metal clay:
I grew up in Israel. Graduated with a master's degree in literature. For 15 years I worked in a distance-learning university where I acquired some writing and publishing skills. Metal fabrication was my hobby, although with no formal education in that area. In 1997 I moved with my husband and 3 kids to the San Francisco Bay Area. While looking for new metal and tool suppliers I found out about silver clay from a catalog. Both coming to a new country and finding a new medium started a new life for me. It's true that life begins at forty (and then again at fifty).
Do you have a muse?
Not a muse exactly, but something that Martha Graham said is always posted on my bulletin board.
"You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open... no artist is pleased... There is no satisfaction whatever at anytime... only a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive..."
Don't forget to leave a comment and get entered to win a F*R*E*E give-away from Whole Lotta Whimsy! Drawing is February 15th, 2012!
