This Burnishing Compound/Fluid is for tumbling your pieces. 3oz of concentrate that is to be diluted into 1 gallon of distilled water. This is great for making your pieces bright and shiny. Simply add one to one and a half inch (or 1.25 cups) of the diluted burnishing compound fluid over the pieces and shot in the tumbler barrel. Tumble 1 hour to 8 hours for glorious silver! This compound/fluid is Super Sunsheen (tm) which is the best quality compound on the market!
Don't be tempted to put the concentrate into a guesstimate amount of water in the barrel. If you put too much the compound can eat away at the rubber, degrading your tumbler and putting black gunk on your pieces. Also a gallon of water sold at the store, comes in very thin plastic. If you dump the 3oz into this plastic container of water it is likely it will develop a leak. So put the water into a thicker plastic container like a used windex gallon container etc. There are 128 ounces in 1 gallon of water. This concentrate makes 128 ounces. You use approximately 10 ounces. So you can run the tumbler 12 times with one 3 ounce concentrate. Drain off the water solution after tumbling and leave the lid off. This will allow the shot to dry. The Super Sunsheen contains a rust inhibitor that should not be rinsed off.
Occasionally you'll need to clean the shot and barrel. Simply put in 3/4 cup of white vinegar and 3/4 cup of water and tumble. Drain, rinse and leave to air dry. This does a great job of cleaning with any mess!
